We just received word that our NOC (No Objection Clearance) has been granted by CARA (Central Adoption Resource Agency). This is the first step of the 3 step process. We are now on our way for scrutinization by the court, followed by a guardianship hearing with the Judge. It would be really nice to have this done in the next 3 weeks, because the courts are literally shut down for the Month of October.(for religious holidays) THIS IS NOT LIKELY. The Judge has been known to take 4-7 months for these next two steps. We are praying that this is not the case for us. Maybe he'll feel like leaving October 1st with a clean desk !!!! Oh that would be so nice :)

ReplyDeleteI'm praying that we'll both have our babies before Christmas. I had the same thought about the judge clearing his desk before October 1st. Anna Dola's case was cleared in 3 weeks...maybe he'll set a new record for our babies?? I hope!!!! Congrats on NOC. It went so fast for us, yeah!
