More from the land of the living....

Well it's officially been one month with our little boy. He is growing so much. I have found that Boys are so much more energetic than girls! I am amazed at how strong this little guy is. He is still having issues with his sleep. Only 1-2 hours at night then he has to be rocked back to sleep, only to be up in 1-2 hours to do it again. And it's not like it's that he's not tired. He only takes 1 or 2 naps a day at about 20 minutes each!!! Hence me being unable to get on-line these past few weeks.

Other than that we are adjusting. Ahly loves her brother - not to sure about sharing toys though! :) Getting into a routine is finally there and we are very happy. Sleep deprived, but happy. Hard to believe I only have 2 more weeks until I get back to work - - I'm already dreading this - - - but also ready for some adult conversation :)

I need to run, but will try and post more pics of our bundles of joy soon!

Ahly's first Christmas Concert - the night before we left for India.

2nd week home.
Just last week - he has changed so much!

  3. So good to hear from you again! Dreyden is adorable and looks so happy in his new home. We'll be praying for you that the sleep issues work out and take notes once you figure out how to solve it - I'll be asking you, I'm sure, in a few months!

  4. We had a really rough time with sleep in our first 3 months home -- feel free to e-mail me and I'll send my phone number to you. I know you used to have it, but in case you don't, it's pleschke@sbcglobal.net. Even if we can't solve all the problems, at least you can hear some sympathy!

We will pray for him to sleep better, especially when you go back to work. Hang in there, Michele -- this is a tough road you're walking on little sleep!

He is gorgeous, though, and looks so happy!
    Hugs,
    Nancy

  5. Glad to see you are in the land of the living! I'm sorry to hear that Dreyden is having a tough time sleeping. He sure is scrumptiously cute though... Love the pics you posted. I wanted to sympathize with you on the head butting thing, Shaili is a crazy head butt-er and we've all been victims here. :) She even gave daddy a bloody lip. I don't know what that's all about, Daya didn't ever do it. Will be interesting to see if any other babies who come home from their room are doing it too! Hang in there...praying you get some good sleep soon.

  8. Michele,
The sleep thing: what you are describing was my Micah to a "T"! Email me pamidoodles1@yahoo.com if you want some advice on what worked for us. Praying for you!
